So who is he?</p> <p>Takashi Murakami was born in 1960 in Tokyo and studied at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts &amp; Music. He is one of Japan’s most well known artists and his influence is wide ranging and universal. This is an artist that doesn’t limit himself to one particular medium. His body of work includes cartoon characters, sculptures, album artwork for the likes of Kanye West, balloons and graphics.<br/> His work has been shown worldwide at prestigious galleries including Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and the Marianne Boesky Gallery in New York.</p> <p>He’s even dipped his toes into the fashion world through collaborations with Marc Jacobs &amp; Louis Vuitton. Last year he guest styled for an issue of POP magazine which included styling Brittany Spears into a life like manga character.</p> <p>His work is amazing and entirely unique. It is hard not to be captivated by their brand of catchy pop style hip hop. The group formed in 2006 and are hugely popular. Yesterday saw the release of their 5th studio album titled ‘Alive’ and I’m already hooked. I’m not sure what my favorite track is – it is a toss up between Blue &amp; Bad Boy. I bought this album via iTunes almost as soon as it was released. Check out the video for Bad Boy below. Their knowledge of texture and shape is unrivalled and as we all know the Japanese are true innovators. One of my favourite Japanese designers is Tsumori Chisato. The former Issey Miyake apprentice creates sweet but stylish designs with a distinct feminine slant and her AW collection follows this design ethos but mixes it up a little.</p> <p>This collection gives a nod to trends and styles from decades past and the colour palette features hues you’d usually see in S/S collections but I am personally fed up of neutral coloured collections.</p> <p>Pastel knits with a swinging sixties influence feature here as well as a generous helping of prints. Chisato is well known for her unique use of prints so this collection should make the die hard Chisato fans happy. The thing that really set this collection apart from everyone else though was the way she incorporated illustration into her designs while giving the pieces a 20s feel. I’ve tried the Garnier and 17 ones but felt that the coverage provided was way below the standard I’d like. Of course I’m very fussy as I have been using the Korean version for years and western versions tend to be totally different. I see western ones more as a tinted moisturiser than a true BB cream.  i was recently gifted the No.7 BB cream from a friend so I thought i’d give it a try. This was a good sign. The shade was also closer to the Korean version. I was a little worried that as I’m quite dark the cream would give my skin an ashy look. But this wasn’t the case. Hallelujah! At last a western bb cream that I am happy to use. The coverage is good and it lasts well. I’ve worn this all day long on several occasions. The packaging is a little plain but I can overlook that as the product is so good. Korean BB creams tend to have quite pretty packaging especially the Missha one. The No.7 BB Cream comes in 3 different variations dependant on your skintype. The normal/dry version was ideal for my own skin. the price is a little steep at £15 especially as I can order 3 Korean BB Creams for that price. Even in comparison to other western BB Creams it is pricey but in my opinion the quality and closeness to the ORIGINAL BB Creams makes it worth the extra cost. Kamikaze girls is my favorite film so when I saw it there I snapped it up but went to buy the other two later that day. One is Korean and one is Japanese. Those ice-cream earrings are so cute and were just a few pounds so I bought those too. apologies for the slightly blurry photo, I haven’t quite got used to using the DSLR yet.</p> <p>The shoes were my bargain of the week as they only cost £7! They suit me perfectly as they have a chunky heel and I don’t have many light coloured shoes in my wardrobe as I usually opt for black. i bought them in a shop nearby in North London.</p> <p>I have bought other things recently but I bought them online so I’m waiting for them to arrive – mostly korean/japanese beauty products.
